HOLLY POWELL
Holly is a 21yr old international event rider based on the Herefordshire/Worcestershire borders. She runs a small, friendly yard with horses ranging from full liveries to breakers and young horses in the producing stage to her own event horses.

Holly began riding at the age of 6 and quickly progressed through the levels in the pony club, competing in many NSEA and Pony Club championships. Her second pony Pink Diamond Taboo was the one to kick start her love for eventing, winning the BE80 at Sapey at only 9yrs old. At the age of 13 she completed her first BE novice on 14.2 pony Hayestown Caption, on whom she took part in many u18 pony training camps.

Upon leaving school after her A-levels in 2018, Holly started a working pupil position with Wayne Garrick. Here she learnt a huge amount about running a yard and looking after top level performance horses. In this time she greatly improved her flatwork skills producing her own horse Boleybawn Vivalto up to BD Medium. She also gained invaluable experience in the breaking and producing of young horses.

Along with competing, breaking and producing Holly still continues to further her education. In 2016 she passed her pony club B test with distinction and 2018 she passed her BHS level 3 riding and care.

2018 was also the year Holly purchased KEC Jeorjio who she has produced from BE90-CCI2. Their greatest success to date being finishing 20th out of 80 starters at Keysoe International in 2021.

2022 looks to be an exciting year as Holly plans to establish KEC Jeorjio at 2 and then move him up to intemediate and 3. Hollys rising 5yr old Ardmore Mountain will hopefully be making his eventing debut, this is incredibly exciting as Holly has broken and produced him from scratch herself.
